Traveling Around Chicago

Uber/Lyft

Uber/Lyft/Curb is an easy way to travel around the city. If you are using rideshare to travel to wedding events, please be mindful of wait times and traffic. Please add 15-20 minutes to the suggested driving time to account for Chicago traffic.
From the River North neighborhood to the Church: Plan for 30 minute door-to-door travel, once your driver arrives.
From hotel to River Roast: Plan for 5-10 minute door-to-door travel, once your driver arrives.

The Westin and River Roast are both located in the River North neighborhood. St. Vincent de Paul Church is located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The Westin, River Roast, and St. Vincent de Paul Church are all located within a 10 minute walk to L stops.

River Roast and The Westin are located off the Merchandise Mart stop on the Brown Line.
St. Vincent de Paul Church is located off the Fullerton stop on the Red Line and Brown Line.
It is about a 25 minute L ride between the Merchandise Mart stop and St. Vincent de Paul Church. Each way includes about 8-10 minutes walking to/from the L stop.

Travel Options to Chicago

Midway Airport

Midway is located south of downtown. The Orange Line train runs to/from the Loop to Midway. It is about a 25 minute ride to/from River North to the station and about a 15 minute walk to security. Depending on time of day, an uber/lyft can take 25-45 minutes. If you take a taxi cab from the airport, please only take a taxi from the official taxi stand at the airport. Southwest, Frontier, Delta, Porter, Volaris, Avelo, and Allegiant fly from Midway.

O'Hare Airport

O'Hare is located northwest of downtown. The Blue Line train runs to/from the Loop to O'Hare. It is about a 35-40 minute ride to/from River North to the station and a 15-20 minute walk to your terminal. Depending on time of day, an uber/lyft can take 35-90 minutes. If you take a taxi cab from the airport, please only take a taxi from the official taxi stand at the airport. United, American, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Spirit and most major international airlines fly from O'Hare.

Amtrak

Chicago Union Station is home to Amtrak. Union Station is about a 5-20 minute drive, depending on traffic to the River North area. There are regular direct trains to/from Chicago, St. Louis and Milwaukee. Other cities are stops along longer train routes with less frequency.
